Out of the Woods

At last, the sunrise is out of the woods as it moves north.

The equinox (3/20) is not far off, when the sunrise will be dead center in our view.

But we're not out of the woods re wintry weather. Though yesterday was in the high seventies, rain is on the way with cooler temps.

The Star Magnolia, full of irrational exuberance as usual, is one of the first to bloom.

It usually gets zapped by a late frost or freeze. But while it's here, how pretty!

Lovely to see buds and early blossoms! I can't believe spring equinox is so soon already. But I'm a realist and am not putting away my winter duds quite yet.

Yesterday, we were able to chip our driveway down to the bare pavement.

We had o turn on our AC this afternoon for a while to cool down the house, Tomorrow: low 40s and rain. The cats enjoyed the screen porch today.
