Not so many words . . .
Just pictures of this beautiful May . . .
The big poplar standing guard at the graveyard on the hill . . .
Flame azalea -- a store bought plant, though we still have some of its wild cousins in the woods.
White bearded iris at the basement door. . .
Marigold and her pasture mate Evanda with Evanda's new calf.

It's all so pretty. Wish I could set a spell on your bench! Marigold looks content with her companions!!

Marigold has finally found a friend to hang out with. We tried the donkey and we tried another cow but both kept breaking out to rejoin the herd. Evanda, however, seems content as long as her baby's there.
Beautiful pictures, but I especially love the big poplar on the hill.
That poplar marks the cemetery where Little Sylvie's mother and family were buried (fictionally)
Your photos of May are spectacular. I love this time of the year.
Our azalea bushes didn't bloom this year - the deer had them as dinner last fall and ate all of the leaves. I've got to figure out how to prevent that so it doesn't happen again.

Thanks, Sam --How sad about your azaleas! So far the deer haven't done too much damage at our place-- six dogs who are in and out all night long help to discourage them.
