Wasp! I still remember the time our cat Emma tried to grab one that had gotten onto the screened porch. It stung her paw and her whole leg swelled. She survived, but that made me aware of how dangerous they are. We now have screening that is impervious to insects. Striking photo, though, and the rest are lovely.
In my house it's time to grab a napkin and carefully coddle said wasp in it till tossed, or even just left out on the porch. I don't argue with them, where I can talk to most bees.

No wasps allowed in this house - I'm allergic. Look at that hosta. Mine haven't even broken through the ground yet.
