I'll never forget the pure magic of standing in a bluebell wood in England. So, some years ago I planted a few in hopes that they would spread.
They've not spread, as such, but they've multiplied into largish clumps.
Once the blooms fade, I tell myself, this year I'll divide them and spread them around a bit. They're on a steepish, shady bank behind the house, just above the rock wall. Not a lot of bending and stooping, thank goodness.
This year, for sure.

The blue bell pics from ENGLAND are so awesome to see. Glad you had the opportunity.
I need to divide daylilies this spring. Not looking forward to it as garden work is not as easy as it used to be.
Good plan. I do hope you are able to actually do it...and I love those blue bell woods in England also (via photos).
Let us know if you actually do it. 😀
I love this! I wanted to go Devon a few years ago to see the bluebells and do a felted craft class, but my knee was too bad. I bought bluebell bulbs and have them in several planters. Here, in San Diego, they're past blooming now.
Not sure how I've missed knowing about these lovely flowers in England all this time. Went online for photos and oh, my... The fields are amazing. And the very darkest blue ones are absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for the prompt to look them up. Added joy to my day.
The bluebells are beginning to bloom here... hoping some hang on a bit as I've planned a photo walk for my club - but not until mid May!
I love bluebells! After my dad died and we had to sell the house, I dug up some clumps of his bluebells and took them out to my 'bach' (holiday cabin; NZ term) on the coast, where they thrived. That was my 'starter kit' - what a nice concept.
PS I am only just starting to see your posts again; I lost them when I moved from Blogger to WordPress. It wasn't a deliberate absence!
Good luck with your bluebell wood!
These are really beautiful. Thank you.
