Seize the day--something that's easier when there's a young hound who feels that her breakfast time is at first light. Admittedly, I often/usually crawl back under the warm blankets and go back to sleep till I smell coffee brewing.
But still, I'm glad to see the dawn--just as I'm glad to see the constellations at 2 or 3 in the morning when Jenny seems to need to go out.

Funny you should mention constellations. When I get up to use the bathroom in the wee hours I take a peak out the porthole window on my side of the bed. I've been enjoying seeing Orion out that window. One night I saw the Pleiades which I haven't seen in years. The stars are bright here in NH.
Well, you can now seize the night as well!
It was Orion that I saw at dark-thirty one morning, sailing high and headed behind the mountain.
There is a piece of me that misses walking the kids to the bus stop in the dawn light. The world is lovely at that hour.
For these reasons I will remain a cat person. Aside from the fact that I like them, of course.
