As the World Turns . . .

Sitting on the porch in the soft pre-dawn light, watching the sky slowly brighten, I seem to feel the roll of the earth.

We were appalled when the first small tower went up on Barnett Mountain. Now we have a much bigger one to look at. I'd prefer to see the mountain unadorned, but such is progress.

A cloud blocked the actual sunrise, so I had to wait a bit longer. Jenny abandoned me and went back to bed.

My very wise comment didn't go through the first time...something about man's puny tower compared to the beauty and power of the sun and the clouds. See if second try gets to you...

I'm never up early enough to view the sunrise but then being farther east than you it's a lot earlier here.

Ah, the com towers. More and more, taller and taller. But you still have a breathtaking view.

What a beautiful night sky. It looks so peaceful - despite the tower!

Comms towers, pylons and wind farms blight most of our hilltops here. You kind of learn to 'tune them out' when you're enjoying the view.
