Several years ago we introduced Josie to the Stones--or at least to one of their songs. If she was demanding something or other--something we could not or would not supply, John would sing a chorus of "You can't always get what you wa-ant." He showed her a video of Themselves and she liked it a lot--our singing of it, not so much. But, of course, we continued to sing it when necessary.
I probably shouldn't have been surprised when, while we were painting one day, I said to Josie, "As soon as we finish here, I want us to go do the word cards."
She looked up from her painting and with a meaningful little smirk began to sing, "You can't always get what you want . . ."

Word cars: I made a few for Danica back in the day.
Such fun to realize that small child has exactly the same feelings and knowledge (which you taught her!)
HA HA HA. I love it!
In our family we would have called her a "stinkpot Magee"! Have no idea of the origins of the name, but it has persisted for generations with no explanation necessary. What a character you've got there.
🤣 What goes around comes around
And Oh my gosh, what a great video!! Talk about vintage! Mick as such a babe!! And John Lennon there in the audience (?) if you watch to the end!
