Josie and the Big Kid

Friday night we all went to supper at Bob and Sue's.  We were going to watch some basketball games on television but there weren't any. We went anyway.

I picked a daffodil to take to Sue.

There was a really nice big kid there.  Bob and Sue are his grandparents, like Grumpy and Meema and Apa and Grandma are mine. We built stuff and after supper, we played hide and seek and chased each other all around.

He is nine years old. He is my friend,

On Saturday Bob came over to help with rock work. Then Sue came for supper too and she brought my friend!!!

We played with my little cars and looked at stuff with binoculars.

He is really special. I hope he comes back soon.

How wonderful that a nine-year-old boy was willing to play little kid games with a three-year-old girl! I hope they remain friends.

Great to have a new friend, and he might have been glad to have a kid to play with, while staying with grandparents!! Of course anyone would enjoy playing with Josie!

Josie is totally smitten. He was very gracious about her attentions and they both enjoyed playing hide and see--which was a bit more like run and shriek on Josie's part.

It's always nice to meet a new friend.

What a delightful time you had with your new friend! Happy week to you and maybe more time with your new friend! But only if Meema has time. . .
