The second and third photos look exactly alike to me.
Ice thawing on a sidewalk or porch?
Beats me.
In my kitchen sink--a very well-seasoned cast iron frying pan with water drops on it and a greasy roasting pan filled with water. The first looked other-worldly to me. The second made me think of flying over tundra.
Amazing.
