How creative you both are. People will be delighted to receive hand-crafted cards and decorations.

They're wonderful! They remind me somewhat of the once popular Dutch book (translated into English under the title Gnomes), illustrated by Rien Poortvliet and written by Wil Huygens. As it happens, Huygens was my great-aunt Katrien's physician. And your illustration reminds me a little of a series of Dutch children's books by Dick Laan about a gnome named "Pinkeltje" (diminutive form of "pink", little finger, which is as long as Pinkeltje was tall) -- he was borne off from his homeland by a runaway balloon and, landing presumably in the Netherlands somewhere, moved in with a group of mice in the home of a Dutch family ... That series used to be one of my favourites when I was a child. Thank you for sharing, Vicki, and for this lovely little fit of nostalgia. :)
