The eggs are for practicing hunting -- we don't want our girl at a loss on the Big Day.
Mario tagged me with some gorgeous pictures of pancakes in the shapes of various sea critters -- octopi, squid, etc. -- and suggested I give it a shot. See below.

What a delightful series of photos! And I laughed out loud at the last one. How could I not? That's actually a very nicely done little octopus. Hope Josie appreciated it as much as I did.
Ah, the dyeing...if that's how you spell it. What fun; kids are impatient though, so I know you've enticed her with fun things while waiting for eggs to dye. Like pancakes shaped for eating! I used to do initials for my kids' names.
She's gonna be great at finding Easter Eggs!
Making memories = love. Love seeing sweet Josie having fun. ❤️❤️❤️
I love the idea of practice Easter egg hunting. Josie is adorable coloring the eggs.
What a great idea — practicing so she’ll know the drill when the day comes. She’ll do well. She’d be a champ at egg rolling too.
Gaspar the ghost!
I KNEW it reminded me of something!
