Netsuke, and a starfighter. I have a monkey netsuke I found in an antique store in Benton TN (near the Ocoee River). I am most impressed that there is absolutely no dust to be seen on the furniture (with fur present too) or in the display box. I just try not to touch my 'display' shelves so you can't tell they are dusty. I would rather play then dust.
Brian and Mary Anne spotted it -- but it's not a starfighter -- it's one of the GI Joe Dreadnoks -- Buzzard by name. (My boys were both here for dinner last night and they told me who it was.) We have a whole bunch of these action figures saved from their childhood and one of our great nephews loves to play with them. I saw this guy on the floor and thought it was one of the netsukes the cats had knocked down. Then John put it with the netsukes and from a distance, it fits right in...
I had to laugh at Mary Anne's comment about the dust as I'd carefully cropped that next to last picture because of all the dust in the corner of the shelf.

Soooooo aloof! Ha!
I bet she'd like to get her paws on those ornaments!

my boys would say its the one thing that is in place...ha....
Love netsukes! Perhaps she's unimpressed because there's not a cat in the mix.
