I don't like to see beautiful summer end, but the colors of autumn are a glorious compensation. We're starting to see change in our three dogwoods and our Japanese maple (which will turn fiery red). Our two native cherries, as usual, started dropping some leaves in August and is now shedding more every day.

Beautiful all...and I want to see more of the watercolor painting.
We cut down most of our surviving echinacea today, so it will soon be a good time to purchase a pot or two of mums.
