Generations

My grandmother Ruby made this dress for me toward the end of the Forties. It was a Halloween costume for kindergarten and my picture was made in it, holding my little brother.

LOTS of rick-rack and bright colors. And I've saved it all this while. Now Ruby's great great granddaughter is modeling it. Just in time for the bodice won't close in the back.

But I'm pleased to have the picture!

Great dress, perhaps some Seminole Indian influence. But it was a lot of work!

This is exactly the kind of thing Josie loves, isn't it? Lots of color and detail. Can it be repaired so she can wear it? It's beautiful on her,

Awww. My grandma loved rick-rack too, and put it on many clothes she made for us in the early 1950's. Haven't seen it in years. Thanks for the memory.

This is the best thing I've seen in a long while. Can it be altered to fit? I imagine Josie loves it.
