Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .

Oh. You know...cats aren't impressed with much. If it isn't a bathmat thrown over them while they wiggle on the floor of the bathroom, or a stupid plastic toy with a bell inside it...it isn't interesting for them....
And your orchid is positively vibrant!
ah i like the one about to unfurl as well...so much anticipation in it...smiles...
Gorgeous photos! I especially like the third one with the petals peaking through
Tell me, please, are the yellow buds on the same plant as the fuschia flowers? They are gorgeous!
Oh My First blush
A bit of nature in the chills of winter -- nice -- barbara
Barb -- the purple orchid is on a different plant.
Beautiful! I have always been intimidated by orchids...which is strange, because I grow everything else!
Having had cats all my life, I couldn't help it but smile...indignant indeed! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
