Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
Lovely!
I've always loved the word evensong. Your pictures for the word are beautiful!
What beautiful evening photos, and I'm so happy to see that beautiful full moon, because I photographed it too! (not yet posted as I'm still catching up after being away on holiday and off line). Your photos are very serene.
Conrad Aiken?
If ever a scene deserved a hymn, this one did. Beautiful.
Spectacular, haunting.
What beautiful transition from sunset to moonlight!!! Evensong, indeed!!! Have a grand weekend! Cathy
ah perfect title...it is as beautiful as a song....
Vicki, I love this, hard to tell, are you facing Grandfather Mtn or Mt Mitchel? Your photos are always so pretty.
Gorgeous...a real pause at the end of the day and beginning of night.
Stunning! The moon has been absolutely breathtaking the past two evenings, hasn't it?
We face due east. Mt. Mitchell is to the far right of the horizon(not seen in these pictures) and only visible when the trees are bare.
You are truly "where the heavens kiss the peaks". You have a moon and a river which makes it "Moon River".
Gorgeous pastels...
How I love Jane Kenyon's poem Let Evening Come (Evensong)Beautiful photos to go with her words
Vicki, the night music is so beautiful when that full moon is over your mountains.Thank you for letting us share your views.xo
Evensong indeed!! Beautiful images!
After a day of really awful weather in Alaska, I was cheered by your photos. Such beauty.
