Just Pretty Pictures

I thought I'd give us a break from all the serious talk.
Time to sit on the porch and enjoy the clematis . . .

Time to notice how pretty even weeds can be. . .

Time to appreciate the last  azalea still blooming . . .

To celebrate the little mountain laurel bonsai . . .

And its geometrical tiny flowers . . .

And not mention politics at all.

... and let me tell you: cutting weeds can be such a painful task for the mind!

Yes, there are so many beautiful reasons to get distracted from politics. We were out with the grandchildren yesterday, picking buttercups.

Sometimes pictures can say so much. And do so effortlessly.

Harbingerdc said it best! I think I should try to get buttercups started in my yard....wonder how difficult that would be??

Vicki, we do need breaks from the political divisions that agitate us so. These natural images call us back to connection and cohesion, a damn good reason to go sit on the porch for a spell or go walking in the woods.

Vicki........am just catching up on posts missed while enjoying an extended 70th birthday celebration with family and friends. The exchange between you and Elspeth D was encouraging.........if more people could/WOULD risk such an exchange, everyone could move at least a little toward common humanity. My continued admiration of your way with words, as well as compassion for others.
