Vicki, you already have asparagus? How? Ours won't be ready for awhile. Is yours an early yielder? Is it something like Jersey Supreme Hybrid? If not, which variety is it?
I may try this "meme." I've been pretty busy with the laureate blog and new poems. Still, it might be fun......we are depressed over losing our lilac blossoms, what are sure to be killed tonight or next..

Kay -- I cut some of the half-opened lilacs and have them in the window by my kitchen sink.

I don't think our asparagus are anything special -- probably just Jersey Giant. But they're planted with a heat-retaining wall at their feet (roots?) and also we are not as high up as you all. They've just begun in the past week and this was our first meal of them.
