Every morning, as I sit on the toy chest at the foot of the bed to pull on my socks, I am thankful for this long view--always beautiful, sometimes spectacular.
We haven't tired of the view in the almost fifty years we've been here. It makes the four wheel drive road and the steep terrain all worthwhile.

And I don't tire of these photos. I do get a little envious, however.
I've always thought the NC mountains -- where my father's family is from -- are heaven on earth. None of the destruction and ugliness of the West Virginia mountains. I hope this area will be protected for a long time to come.
Truly beautiful views, and yes, your choice to live up there was definitely a good one!
