Our cats follow the sun too, especially in winter when it's unpleasantly cold on the screened porch. They especially like to stretch out on the big coffee table in the family room.
Jenny is cat-like in many ways--such as never feeling guilty. Actually though, we've had other dogs that like to get on that table to look out and/or sleep in the sun.

What was she after? The sunshine?
First,to keep an eye on the world outside. Then she noticed the sunshine and it was good.

How nice of you to provide a dining table for her to look out from, and use as sunbathing bed!
