When I was Josie's age, libraries were quiet places for reading, including in the children's section -- which (being a quiet, bookish kid) was definitely my jam. How times have changed! I don't recall I ever tried to walk up a slide, though. Good on you, Josie. Always be nice, always be kind -- but be a Contrary while and whenever you can. It will take you far.
It's not silent but, even in the children's section, it's usually subdued. At this point in her life, Josie is attracted to the playground and to the various activities--coloring, puppet show, legos, etc set around to make it a friendly place. We read the library books at home.

Funny how they all love climbing UP the slide. Mine do that too.
