Josie and Her Telephone

Ring, ring -- I'll get it.

Hello. Yes, this is me, Josie.

Uh huh. . .uh huh . . .

No, Blue Elephant can't come to the phone. He's taking a nap now.

I have to go now. See you later, alligator.

I think it was a wrong number.

Phone calls are exhausting.

A rotary dial may not be a mystery to her as it is to some as in this classic. https://youtu.be/1OADXNGnJok

How precious! It’s good she has the old phone to play with. Most kids her age have never seen a rotary phone. What a nuisance they were to use, but they make great toys.

I realized a while back that the illustrations of phones in Dr. Seuss wouldn't make sense to her. Luckily we had this antique stuck away in a cupboard.

Oh I expected a play cell phone. What a wonderful old antique! I guess she'll never hear a real dial tone on one though. Do you just say ring ring, or do you have some kind of phone bell? My guess is lots of pretend happening! Love another episode of "Josie at work and play."
