You are above that sea of clouds, just as a queen of her realm should be. Turkeys are so ancient looking to me... their behavior is fun to watch. Have a glorious cool day!

We also have a "resident" flock of wild turkeys. They gather closely together almost daily under the deck where the bird seeds have dropped. They scatter further when my husband takes the leaf blower and scatters the leftover seeds deeper into the woods.

My husband and his friends used to go hunting back in high school. Really, it was an excuse to get out in the woods and drink beer. They would see deer now and then -- though none were ever shot. But the turkeys, that were supposed to be in abundance, they only ever glimpsed. When he sees the gangs of turkeys around here, he always remembers believing that wild turkeys were the most elusive of critters.
