Dogs' Day Out

John, accompanied by Dan and Bob, went to collect Otis and Ali for Doggy Day Care

All four dogs love the quarter mile run up to our house.  There are many stops to pee on things . . . and pee on the places that some one else peed on . . .

Our neighbor's rent house is especially interesting to the guys --
there are new tenants and they have a dog -- a girl dog!!!

And Bob enjoys his freedom.

Guess if one of those boys goes missing you know where to look first!

Yay that Bob loves his new pack and hasn't run off yet. But with the new temptation he may... They all look so happy!!

Vicki, looks like they all have spring in their steps!

When everyone retuns to doggie day care central, do they stay outdoors as the weather improves, or spend time indoors for various lessons and quiet story telling time...and lunch?

Frances, I don't dare leave them all outside unsupervised. They come inside, have breakfast or snack, depending on time of day. Then there is romping and napping, interrupted by occasional individual outdoor breaks. Otis usually retires to his office ( a comfy chair in my workroom) while the others hang about the living room and kitchen. There is a basket of dog toys under the stairs and when Willa plays too rough, Ali will go and get a toy to divert her.

Like any nursery school attendant, I'm always happy when they all go down for a nap.

In time, as the weather improves and we trust Bob more, there will be much more outdoor play,

Oh, how I love that first picture of the happy, happy dogs! Although this should be technically called BOY Dog's Day Out, since little rebel Willa isn't there! :-)

Love that you have 'doggy day care' for the boys. My Mom used to take care of my first collie--I'd walk her AND her little crate across the field every day before leaving for work. Mom's half collie was a good play buddy for my girl too.

(I also love that last picture of Bob!)

Vicki, those dogs are so fortunate to be under your roof...or is it rroofff? Your description of their typical day is all that I imagined it would be.
