Hi Vicki, what are those beautiful yellow and black bugs? I hope they're not the kind of bugs that eat plants!

A yellow episode after the tomato red one! Nice.

That was my job yesterday ... sad to have to do that in the middle of August, but this hasn't been a normal year. A little of everything has been put up and for that I am thankful!

Had a pimento cheese sandwich last night with a slice of tomato, at your recommendation yesterday, and all I can say is YUM!

Love the dirty fingernails shot. Sign of a true gardner that you can't keep your fingernails clean. Or use gloves. Just isn't the same with gloves on. Also love the little blue bottle on the window sill. I have a small collection of 'poison' bottles that were my mothers. On a window sill of course.

Ms. A -- The weather is glorious -- highs in the eighties and very pleasant.

Martin -- Doesn't everyone have rhinos and hippos in the kitchen?

Victoria -- Alas, those are bad bugs that eat my collards and kale. But they are also pretty.

Pat -- Yep, everything is calling it a day about a month early.

Mary Anne -- My son found the blue bottle in one of the branches on our place -- and I used it in SIGNS IN THE BLOOD. I was the bottle Mr. Tomlin drank his laudanum from.

Thank you a thousand times for sharing the beauty in your world, and helping me to see the beauty all around me every single day.
