"It Snowed Like One Thing!"

"It snowed like one thing!" is something my neighbors might say. "Like one thing" means "a lot'" or whatever superlative fits the situation.

All day Friday it came down, wet and heavy. Tree branches bent and some snapped under the weight.
I was dodging in and ought, bringing in greenery to deck the stairs and trying to catch a few of our many cardinals and other birds being picturesque.

Here's a web album of our snowy Friday.

I couldn't get the web album link to work. Will try again later.

In the meantime, these are great photographs of a very Christmassy scene!

In Turkish if we say "....like one thing", we mean "it is unnecessary" or "it is not important thing"...
I love snow so much, it makes me happy...because it is so funny.. :)
Thanks for sharing.

The red cardinal inside the white landscape is not only picturesque, but wonderful!

Snow, snow, everywhere!
It looks the same here, still snowing, since Thursday.
All that's missing are the beautiful Red Cardinals, thank you for the memories!

It's a beautiful snow, but creating many problems for many folks I'm afraid. We had 8" here.

I'm soooo jealous. Do you believe all Cherokee County got was RAIN. No snow for me : ( I'm really being a big baby about it too-I wanted some so bad. Your photos are beautiful. Stay warm-and if you go out throw a snow ball for me.

Beautiful photos - but the last one is breathtaking...glad to be seeing these in photos, not in person.

Wow Vicki. You sure got the snow. For some (good) reason, when the weather hits our mountain range here from Tennessee, it (usually) splits into and goes north to Asheville & beyond (to you my dear) and south to Atlanta. Doesn't hurt my feelings one little bit. I'm a flip-flops kind of gal.

Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Hey! I've been wondering about you since I watched the news this a.m. and heard that you all were getting dumped on.

For some reason, I couldn't get the link to the web album to work. The pictures on the blog are beautiful, though, especially the one of the Cardinal. I wish we had those out here.

Stay warm and safe!

I clicked on the Web Album but the link did not work. Anyhow your pictures are gorgeous. I love all the white with the red cardinal. I saw a painting once very much like this – your pictures show that this is no painting from someone’s imagination, but the real thing. I love it.

I wanted to thank you for your comments on my blog along the year and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with a good health, joy and love.

Beautiful pictures. The background on your blog has changed to purple making it hard to read the print. I'm wondering if it's something I accidentally did or something you did. Any idea?

Beautiful pictures! More loverly than a postcard. I'm guessing you might be without power and/or internet service...at least I'm hoping that is what it is.
Take care,

We were without power for over 24 hours, just got cable back--you can see where our priorities lie. Hope you and yours have a fabulous holiday.

Hey, Folks -- I'm back -- our power went out Friday afternoon and didn't come back on till Wednesday. And our Internet connection just returned at 2 today (Thursday.)

I've fixed the background color and the web album link.

And I'll be putting up lots more pictures soon -- if the possible ice storm this evening doesn't knock our power out again!

Thanks for stopping by my wintry corner of the Web!
