Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
That truck has been around for a good while, it's showing it's age. That truck and I have a lot in common.
A lot of memories for the people passing by.
Old rusty trucks are great. Cars too.
Dead things can be beautiful...if you take close ups and call it art!
It's amazing to me how evocative these old vehicles can be. They gain very distinct personalities with age especially the ones that refuse to go away to junkyards and still remain somehow among us.
Vicki, for some reason, seeing these photos made me think of James Taylor singing, "in my mind, I'm going to ..."Well, you know.(Thank you also for that cake recipe yesterday.)xo
At rest at last after years of hauling lumber, chicken feed, hay, concrete, pipe, and you name it. Out to pasture remembering.
