Great laugh here! I dreamed I was arguing with my mother (of many years ago of course) that she kept letting Muffin outside and feeding her milk. When I woke up I was being pawed by a hungry Muffin. Wonder if she was channeling my mother.
My cat Emily has only escaped the house once: she pushed her way through a window screen I hadn't known was unlatched. I wouldn't have realized she was gone if, after about half an hour, she hadn't repeatedly thrown her body against the back door, desperate for her litter box. House cats are the best/dumbest.
LOL Our two indoor-outdoor cats often came back inside to their litter boxes … which I actually preferred rather than them choosing an inappropriate place in the yard where the dogs might find a "snack." UGH.

Guess Cory couldn't think outside the box!
Hahaha ha. So much for natural instincts.
Hahaha! Good one, Ms. A!

That Cory is too much. Couldn't find a new play mate so comes back to family and friends.
Smart kitty!
A short story beautifully told, Vicki.
I am imagining Cory in the moonlight.
xo
