Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
My Day used to always talk about the chicory coffee when we went through Louisiana.
So sweet. Glad you named them, since I forget most things on names.
They are free. Free to look at, free to grow where they please, not hampered by planters or pots. Just wild things you captured for us. Thank you
Bergamont smells so specifically good - herby and wild!
I love walking along our street and seeing those same flowers. What you are calling Bergamot we call Bee Balm. I didn't know it by its proper name. We have even planted it in the yard since we (and the hummingbirds and bees) love it so much.
Well, isn't chicory pretty? I never knew that.
Well Vicki, your roadside definitely has more pretty wild flowers than I am likely to find in these parts.Wishing you a wonderful weekend. xo
