Goose Update

The white goose has a friend!  These two were enjoying a leisurely lunch apart from the rest of the flock as I passed by on Tuesday on my way into town.
On my way back, I was surprised to see the flock lined up in formation.
The white goose, however, appears to march to a different drummer.

Not always a bad thing, marching to a different drum.

Love the post : but is news about the good goose nothing more than proper gander?

Are they Canada geese? They look like them. We have them in our country as well. Near the windmills we have sometimes so many geese that the footpath is dirty because of the goose-do.( I wanted to say "shit"but saw in my dictionary that this is rather vulgar, so no shit today!)

LOL at Reader Wil!! Funny!! So happy to hear that the white goose has a friend. Is that his or her friend, also facing the other way? Hmmm...

You all are too funny! I'm out taking pictures of last night's snow before the sun melts it all and here's Alan making dreadful puns and Reader Wil employing vulgar language. What shall I do with you!

Yes, they are Canada geese, Wil. And slick as or green as goose shit is a saying I've heard. And I believe you've given me an idea for tomorrow's post. :-)

If you biggify that last picture and zoom in on the white goose, you'll see another goose waving its wings at him, obviously warning him to get with the program and turn around.

I'm particularly taken with the geese lined up on the ground in formation.

I'm glad the white goose has a friend! And, I applaud her (his?) courage in 'marching to a different drummer.'

I had to grin at your comment on my blog because "keep on keeping on" is what I constantly tell people I am doing.

Even instincts, apparently, require practice.
I wonder if somebody hissed at her: Turn around!
