That's what I love about living in the mountains ... no matter what time of year/no matter what the weather, there is always beauty to be thankful for!
Love the first shot of the Virginia Creeper (I think that is what it is). Looks like the leaves are starting to fall there too. A lady gave me some seeds for the hyacinth beans years ago. I haven't planted any in awhile. She called them "Jack Beans". Do you know if they are edible?
The photos are beautiful Vicki! We finally had some sunshine yesterday, the first time since Saturday. I washed all the bed clothes off the screen porch bed and hung them out. It's getting cool enough to sleep out there or take naps now. Going to make the pie today! Can't wait to taste it! :)
Victoria -- I used to have a bunch of nicotiana planted under our bedroom window so we could smell it at night -- I need to do that again.
Pat -- Always, always. (Though sometimes during as late winter thaw I have to work at it a bit.)
Tammy -- Yep, that's Virginia Creeper. When I look at that picture, I see the negative image first and that's what intrigued me about it.
Re lab labs -- no, I don't know for sure -- seems like when we visited Monticello, where they were growing in abundance, the tour guide said they were. I found an on line link that, if you read through all the replies, seems to suggest the same. Maybe I'll try some tonight.
Carol and Kaye -- the sun came out for about ten minutes -- and then it began to rain some more. Not complaining-- we're still healing from years of drought.
