Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
What a great variety for you. Our lot is small and almost birdless, especially in winter. We do keep a bath for them in summer and get some activity.
How lovely...some of my favorites, especially the shy Towhee. It's great to hear the chatter of birds in the morning, and frequently Canada Geese flying south overhead, their honks and creaking wings saying good morning to me.
Wonderful birds. We haven't heard the towhees yet but I'm sure we will any time now.
I wish we had towhees here. We have all the others in abundance.
