Unfortunately I can't laugh. But it was a nice rendition of a hopeful song into the sad state we're in. Still looking for the silver lining...
Oh, this post so breaks my heart! I loved, loved, loved the original—and I wasn't even a bonafide hippie. (My boss at an insurance agency where I was paying loans and saving money to go back to school for my teaching credential, described me as about 15% hippie. I always loved that description!) But it's such a let down realizing we've gone from the Age of Aquarius to the Age of Nefarious. Words fail.
What a wonderful word to describe our current POTUS. We really never were in the age of Aquarius back in the 70s with Nixon and Kent State and the Vietnam war. We had glimmers of Aquarius here and there but no overall progress. We are sliding even further down the nefarious side today. Our young people brought together by gun violence is certainly a step back to the Aquarius side of things and is a much more mature and plausible approach to solving our social problems. I get carried away. Forgive my rants.
