Little from Much . . .

. . . or how to turn

 a great big pile of basil . . .

(and some garlic, Parmesan, walnuts, and olive oil . . .)

. . . into 11 (3 not pictured) small jars of pesto for the freezer.

Likewise, how to reduce a mound of kale and collards . . .

. . .  to a large bowl of blanched greens . . .

. . . that fit, tightly packed, into two quart sized freezer bags.

Somebody's been busy in the kitchen! Summer is all buttoned up for eating in wintertime!

Vicki, it's been grand to not only see this reporting on your garden's late July bounty, but also to get caught up on ... over a month's prior blogs. I've been quickly reminded of what it is that I so love about blogging!

Little Josie is more adorable by the day...what a charmer, and a grand reason to wake up just a bit earlier each morning.

The photographs of flowers and veg have taken me far away from my hot city environment, and I thank you so very much.

Your post about grammar reminded me of the diagram-defying utterances of a certain politician. The horror deepens.

Your new hair style is very becoming!

Back to summer joy. I will be trying to visit over here more frequently. My own recent return to oil painting after a long absence has been very enjoyable, even as it eats into hours I might have previously devoted to blogging. I am taking advantage to the summer weather and its allowing me to have open windows, aiding the oils and turps some ventilation...

Lots of love to you and yours. xo
