Woke up to snow here with more throughout the day and into the evening. One thing about a March snow is it doesn't last long, but it's just so darn depressing!
I didn't have any comment (at least not one to publish) until the afternoon when almost all our snow was gone. If you have to have snow, that is the kind to have.
The law of opposites. Out on the left coast we got no rain no snow no nothing wet. Misted yesterday for a while and that was it. Need some high sierra snow pack of 15 feet or more.
What June said. But it's melting fast -- these pics were from yesterday. I can't tell yet how badly various plants were zapped -- the blooms on the star magnolia are probably turning brown as I type this.
Here on the coast of Virginia, it started as rain but turned to snow. While not much ended up sticking, it is still bizarre to see Bradford Pear trees and Tulip trees in bloom in the middle of a snow storm!

..I just couldn't help it
we had snow again yesterday morning..and it was cold
and we still haven't seen a daffodil
Spring ought to have a different name, maybe "tease" or yo-yo.
Bizarro sights round your area Vicki. We got lucky this time, and the snow passed us by.
xo
My lone daffodil looks like the one smothered in snow. I hope they live through this...

Uh-oh. Especially quick on the heels of that gorgeous "sunny spring" post!
Beautiful photos and can you believe it Vicki, we have had no snow whatever so far this winter! While I was looking at yours I was thinking 'brrrr'.
How the snow season does go on in your parts -- the first photo seems to be the snow saying to the daff "in your face." -- barbara
Oh no! I love the first picture very much.
Oh no! :-(
