How delicate the foliage is in these trees - I think of how these leaves will soon be falling, and then of the ephemeral nature of things.

You make me almost wish for morning mist or fog!
Please tell the leaves to hold on for a few more weeks. I want to see them on the trees! ;-)

Wishing you a gorgeous fall day,
Merisi

That first photo is fabulous!

A romantic naturalist at heart...that's what these photos say to me...or it could be the promise of what's around the bend, or maybe what is being left, or even a lonely feeling as the road is empty (except for photographer.) Ah it does speak to the imagination!

Your photos are so delicate, so pretty in an otherworldly way. I don't know how to express how they make me feel, but I do love them.

Vicki, forgive me the cliche, but with these photos, you have indeed taken me down memory lane.

It was a sweet and beautiful journey. Nature does not disappoint us.

One of the nicest things of these small roads with fallen leaves at the edges is coming behinf another vehicle and watching the leaves dance and skitter as they pass.

Have faith, Merisi, the color's just barely beginning. By the time you get here, the reds should be glorious.

I almost quoted that, Martin.

Sam and June -- maybe we all live on the same road. Wouldn't that be nice! Of course we do, in cyberspace...
