One Morning

Yesterday morning, to be precise.

The clouds around Barnett Mountain were particularly appealing . . .

As was the fancy crimped collar at the base of the green pepper growing in a pot on our steps--one of the successes of my porch garden.

These two-tone foxgloves continue to delight me--here's hoping they reseed.

And this odd tomato (the label got lost so I don't know what it is--a Blue something or other, I think,) also in a pot, has done well, though it's taking its sweet time about ripening

Josie and I went to the library for the play group but she insisted on spending most of her time in the kid's section first.

She is very fond of this magnetic spaceship.

Coming home, we had a LONG wait to cross the bridge which is one lane traffic due to some repairs. I've taken many pictures of this crumbling old building before

but what captivated me this time was the little volunteer weed roof garden.

The pigeon and I think it adds a touch of elegance.

Thanks for taking me along on your morning outing...and I'm so glad your porch garden is surviving critters!

Reminds me of A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN. It's amazing where green will grow if allowed to do so. I loved those long waits for the train when I was a little girl. I'm sure it was a nice time to point out the roof greenery and bird to Josie.

Those mountains. I have to search so hard for scenes to shoot near here.

I am so fortunate in being able simply to step out to the front porch. As opposed to getting up at dark thirty and driving somewhere. I honor your commitment, AC!

Mtnwoman -- We also talked about red for stop (S-T-O-P) and green for go (G-O.)

Barb-- no deer on the porch so far!
