La Donna (Mother Nature) E Mobile

The cardinal is looking disgruntled. Small wonder -- he's sitting in a crab apple tree, surrounding by swelling pink buds, and the rain is turning to snow.

The slide show follows some of the weather fickle Mother Nature brought us Sunday and Monday.

You don't know how magic that sounds to me .. from a no snow place.. rain that turns to snow! The Cardinal bird is a very fine fellow!

Mother Nature does as She pleases, doesn't She?

Proof that Winter isn't over, until it's over. Stay warm.

The weather is very variable over here too. Your slide is good. I didn't know that we can make slides with Picasa. Have a great International Women's Day. Our newspapers are full of stories about women who are fighting against the strict rules of their religion.

The bright little cardinal looks very fit...he seems to do well with La Donna.

Thank you for the slide show. We have been wondering what is happening at the farm. I just ordered 100 asparagus plants and strawberies from the extension center. We are on the verge of getting started on many projects. I am going to go pick up some old tin roofing to edge my new asparagus bed today. Spring, here we come!

Do you think Mother Nature is going through the change of life? She's been a very wicked lady this year.

Lovely cardinal. I think it's so interesting that they they mate for life.

Yes we are getting clear blue skies but bitterly cold weather at the moment too. No birds as beautiful as your Cardinal however.

Heavy rain coming all along the East Coast. You may be wishing it would turn to snow, before it's over.

I think those were the fattest flakes I'd ever seen on Sunday. I went running around with my camera too, even too a video! I LOVE that photo of the birds in the tree with the fat rain/snow coming down. That's exactly what it looked like, just the strangest thing!! I kept staring at it, thinking, that is the fattest rain I've ever seen. Then I finally realized it was snow. Or rain-snow. And there's my mystery bird - "house finch!!" Great pics...

Such fickle weather and I love the dashing red cardinal. The slide show was so cool ... I'll have to figure how to do that next!

Adorable Cardinal. . . Mother Nature is definitely playing on her 'swing-set' as she goes to and fro...

We had a pleasant day in Knoxville, but rain is coming this evening. I am looking forward to it more today because our drains are mended, I hope, and tonight will be the test of it.
Love your pictures today.
By the way, I wanted to tell you that on my Kindle, which I have only had for a few weeks, your latest book is on my list of recommended reads, just for me! How do they know. What they don't know of course is that I already have it but it is on my bookshelf in England!

Sigh.... it's all so beautiful out your way. It's cold enough to snow here, but none so far.

Cardinals really look their best in the snow. That's a beautiful picture. And thanks for you library comment back to me. Spring will come, La Donna isn't that fickle.--Inger

I love the picture of that Cardinal. I wish we had them out here. The slide show was beautiful, too. The rime ice really did look like white blossoms!

What beautiful bird!

Spring is still hiding somewhere else.
