Spring Blog Cleaning

Time to put, if not my house, at least my blog in order. The critters don't track in so there's no need to sweep but the lists of blogs over in the side bar needed some updating and reorganizing.

I've begun by putting the international blogs into one group. This is a cheap way to travel and I've added a few, including Marilyn (My Magpie Collection) and Joan (Sempiterna Me) in New Zealand, where the leaves are beginning to turn ...
And a special welcome to Desiree (Driftwood Ramblings), whose birthday it is, in South Africa!
Closer to home, I've added a collection of links called My Neck of the Woods --over there at the top. You can find out more about the place my fictional Marshall County is based on...
And even about the real life realtor who inspired Elizabeth's friend Sallie Kate!

Oh, I've fiddled and tidied-- the writing, publishing blogs are in one place, the food-related in another, the country/Appalachian in yet another. . .

I think it's time to emulate Miss Suzie and relax.

You have been working hard having a good blog spring clean. Thanks so much for including my blog in your international group. I shall enjoy visiting your 'neck of the woods' as well as others on your blog lists.

Ah nothing is better than a good spring clean...no actually a cold glass of wine is better - I might have to come and join you at Reader Wils' place.

Hello Vicky,

It seems a long time since I visited your blog and I am sorry. I was very busy with pleasant things to do.
I see that you are also very busy with some household chores. Bravo !

It is strange I thought I was a member of your blog. I fixed this oversight I will try to visit regularly..
In the meantime, I wish you a beautiful week.

That was a lot of work for a day. Relaxing with the kitty sounds just like the perfect thing to do.

Great job Vicki. Everything looks great and thanks for including me.

Personally I had rather go to the dentist than add links and move gadgets around.

I am inspired by your spring cleaning. I think I need a new blog-header and designing it will keep me away from more important - but less enjoyable - things.

Rainy weekends are perfect for such tidying!

Great Minds Think Alike! HA! No, really I was just thinking I need to do the same thing. I haven't blogged much in a long time due to absolute lack of energy but I'm now getting back to my ole self and miss visiting with all my blog friends.
How's your weather? Peggy was expecting snow yesterday! XOXO

Your blog looks very tidy. I am pleased you included me in your wide world even though I live 3 hours from you and think I am a “souzern girl” (still having problem with the “th” sound) - I like my greens, grits and biscuits with sorghum! You have some good links which I’ll need to investigate. I wish you’d help me – one of my commenter, a French girl living in Canada, Zhu, asked me in her last comment what was a “biscuit” and she thought it was like “pain perdu” which is French toast. Biscuits are not like French toasts but how would you describe them to someone who never had one before?

No snow at the moment, Carol, just chilly and overcast.

Vagabonde -- I put you in the International section because you seem to talk about other countries fairly often -- even though I know you are Souzern ;-)

I saw that comment on your blog and wondered how you would answer. The only similar thing I came up with was a scone -- but they are usually sweet and a bit denser. I think you'll just ave to send her a recipe. Or tell her to visit a Kentucky Fried Chicken -- they seem to be world wide.

Hi Vicki!

I've been away most of the day and am now able to snatch a few moments at my computer, reading and catching up on today's blog posts, comments and news...and, discovering, to my absolute delight, how many wonderful bloggers have taken the time to think of me and mention me in their blogs, today.

I have been overwhelmed by this unexpected attention and feel thoroughly spoilt! Thank you so much, Vicki, for the part you have played in all of this.

It looks as though you've had a wonderful spring cleaning session...well done!

Love & hugs,

Des xoxo

You're doing some hard work there Vicki. Needs to be done I suppose. In fact, you've prompted me. I should really do the same!
Love the picture of the broom leaning against the door.

Looks very spiffy...!! (and thank you for honoring me with a listing of my blog, dear Vicki). I am grateful to have the privilege of tuning in to this fabulous space!

If, toward fall, your blog seems as if it is getting a bit cluttered (as do houses and rooms, with the crush of summer)....please feel free to leave it go in favor of the other things you love to do. I'm sure I speak for all here when I say we love you just the way you are! No kidding! Either way (neat or cluttered) is just fine with us.

Miss Susie Hutchkins and my Shelby are a dead ringer for each other.

Blog cleaning is a good ideal. I'm thinking others have the same idea since I lost a follower today ;0
