Merisi said...: I have such fond memories of Charlotte, not least the Yves Delorme (formerly Palais Royal) outlet store at 311 East Main Street. I am still not over the fact that I did not buy that paprika colored French tablecloth when I was there the last time, during their Thanksgiving week clearance sale. ;-)

Vicki Lane said...: It's a very pretty town -- and so much more that I missed. Bt I was in a hurry to get out to my sister-in-law's to visit with her, her husband and my niece and her husbands (coincidently, NCmountainwoman, they are the Waltons too!)

Merisi -- the paprika colored table cloth sounds, well, unforgettable. I still regret a little lapis hippopotamus I saw and didn't buy in Venice twenty something years ago.

Alas, no, I didn't ride the trolley bus, Maria Cecilia. I was on my way back to the hotel when I saw it.
