After several days of rain, the water in the branches (streams) is running high . . .
Our own little Wool Branch is burbling and gurgling its way down the mountain . . .
Overflowing the waterfall's spillway, it finds a way around . . .
Splashing and dashing in its eagerness to make its way to the French Broad River and be on its long journey to the sea.

Looks beautiful!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tour. I enlarged the photos and they are stunning as if you are virtually walking there.
It looks like Spring is well underway at your place! The photographs of the branches are gorgeous.
I love to watch moving water. Great photos Vicki!
Absolutely beautiful Vicki.
Sam
We are virtually feeling the coldness of water!
nice. what beautiful music it makes as well...went over to the james river yeaterday...its up about 6-7 feet right now...not sure where it crested...
What a lucky lady you are. Beautiful.
What beautiful pictures! And, the sound must be entrancing.
Great shots of the water. Our tiny little creek in back sounds like a river!
Loved the photo journey. Beautiful! Isn't it lovely to walk along the creeks and hear their songs?
The branches are roaring here in central KY, too. I love your photos!!!
This is too beautiful, Vicky! Your words, the quality of your photographs highlighting all the littlest details and the fact that you've succeeded in momentarily transporting me into your own magical space. Those tall, thin grey trunks wearing their bark coats, each one so different, the mosses and little clumps of daffodils (or snowdrops?) bursting through the forest floor...the water...I could almost hear it! The damp musky smells...I believe I could catch them too! What a magnificent flight of fancy. Thank you for sharing it all...I, too, enlarged each picture and was instantly drawn in!
I can almost hear it! That last photo is positively idyllic.
My home town of New Albany, Indiana is getting flood waters. Now I know where they're coming from!
At first I thought you had noisy trees.... Really beautiful photos!
Oh dear that is beautiful
float a note out to sea for me
The Scioto sure has been rushing, too. I can't believe your budding trees and green grass. We woke up to snow this morning!
and the willow is showing colour too. Lovely, it's Spring!
What a beautiful weeping willow tree! Those pictures look quite 'English Cottagy' to me.:-)
