A Thin Line of Day

A thin line of day
Edges the eastern mountains --
Swelling molten gold.

Blushing pink, the sky
Awaits dawn's trumpet herald.
Nature holds its breath.

Rising from river,
Cool mist veils the blushing sky;
Cloaks the rising sun.

Wow. Beautiful pictures of the sunrise. The words just add to the magical quality.

Thanks, Tammy! The mornings are so beautiful and so subtly different that I have to restrain myself from posting a sunrise every day.

Don't try too hard to restrain yourself. The sunrises are wonderful; we're so wooded with close neighbors that no sunrise can be seen from our house. Sharing your view is a great way to start or end the day.

Thanks, Lynne, actually, I'm toying with the idea of of setting up another (another? are you crazy)blog with no words, just a picture of the morning sky every day for a year, begininng, maybe, on the winter solstice.
