Pity, in a way, that you didn't have a Silent Saturday. By coincidence, you see, yesterday was Nyepi, the annual Day of Silence on the Indonesian island of Bali. It is a day spent indoors, in silent contemplation -- and, yes, even if you're a tourist, not a native. (Although I suspect it's hard to enforce that one.) Wikipedia has an article on it.
