After taking me to pick up John from the hospital, Justin returned to his weekend guests and their on-going role playing game.
Both of my boys started gaming when they were young but I have a real feeling Josie's going to have them beat.
Claui forwarded me these pictures with the heading "Josie and Daddy's First Dungeon Crawl."
John is doing great -- he'll see a doctor for follow-up next week. He has meds for the cough and the pneumonia and the AFib -- and was told he can resume normal activity.
I will try to get him to hold off till the pneumonia's gone

Glad the prognosis is good.
So happy for everyone, that was a scare for sure!
Ha ha ha, I remember all my boys joyful hours spent in D & D (Dungeons and Dragons) fun...but now they have (mostly) been playing WOW (World of Warcraft) on their computers. HOURS. Well, I have my own down time pursuits, so can't really complain. But grown men! Oh my goodness. Their grandfathers would be so surprised. Read a book. Play checkers. Whittle a toy for a kid. Yep, times have sure changed for men too!
Both my sons game -- the older ( who for years was in the industry) runs a weekly game for friends -- with Justin it's more rare -- mostly when gaming friends come to visit. But both are avid readers with wide-ranging interests. I think the role-playing games demand a huge amount of creativity. Video games, I'm not so sure of their value except as entertainment. But I'm not educated on the subject.
So glad to hear John is OK. My Joanie got that awful bug Pneumonia when we took a airline to Oregon. It knocked her flat and put her in the hospital. It takes a while to recover, but she is fine now. Better living through chemistry!
Thanks, Jim -- I know that recovery can be slow.
