Hope that chicken gets extra lovin' this morning. Did you crack it yet? Double yolk maybe? Or perhaps a monster's head!
Perfectly ordinary inside -- and the shell was the usual weight, not rubbery as sometimes happens. We have one ancient hen -- this may be hers and her egg-making equipment may be winding down.
I have a feeling stewed chicken will soon be on the table.

No stewing for the old biddy. When our layers quit laying they stay on as boarders till nature carries them off.
