Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
little dashes of purity and beauty in our world...will have to watch for a bit of white...i love the little flowers with yellow in the middle....
I love the Irises with the light shinning through the pedals. So delicate and soft. Well done
Each of these are art photos. Good work!
Great photos, Vicki -- what are the flowers in the second picture
Your iris season is earlier than ours. I hope mine look this good when they do bloom.
Lynn, the flowers in the second (and in the last) picture are Kousa/Korean dogwood. They begin to bloom just as the native ones are fading. The Kousas are also not susceptible to the anthracnose virus that is killing many of the native dogwoods.
Your white flower collection is astounding! -- barbara
