Hoping for a good sunrise to mark the equinox,
I stood in my nightgown, clicking away . . .
A heavy cloudbank was just over the mountains due east . . .
But I thought at least I could catch the sun when it rose over the clouds . . .
A beautiful fiery edging and some beams . . .
Alas, the clouds keep rising . . .
A crow appears . . .
And another . . .
And they dance in the light . . .

Vicki, I think these are some of the most beautiful sunrise photos I've ever seen. The clouds make it much more interesting and pretty than if the sun was just rising in a clear sky, I think, as do the crows. Great shots!
"Tresors" we wake up for...
Gorgeous sunrise and those look like jumbo crows!
Love those crows, Vicki!
ha. i think the crow might have had a better view...it rained all day through ours....
What a precious moment to share. Thank you.
The day soon turned to rain -- we never actually saw the sun.
Vicki, thank you so much for your early rising and for sharing these remarkable photographs. To see the colors in the sky change so subtly is a true pleasure.
xo
beautiful, beautiful skies, I love when the light forms a ridge on the edge of the clouds that way... it always makes my heart skip a beat!
Lovely sequence. Happy equinox Vicki.
Gorgeous! I love cloud watching but catching light on clouds! Fantastic!
