Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
Our daughter's new neighbours have these in their front garden, Vicki. Such a show.
They ARE beautiful!
Beautiful. Is that slug damage or slug appreciation?
Wow. I never even knew calla lilies came in anything other than white! In the background, as I review your photos, I can hear Katharine Hepburn's voice: The calla lilies are in bloom again.
they are elegant...and have lovely color as well...
Borrowed, not stolen. :o)
What elegant beauty! Just love them.
They are beautiful. Daughter gave me Calla Lillies for mother's day, so I guess I'm going to try again... we'll see how it goes. The thing about calla lillie, if my memory serves, is they aren't hardy enough for winter, so the bulb has to be dug up and stored in a cool place and then replanted in the spring. Bleh.
I like the way you displayed them. Very beautiful.
They really are lovely...remind me of blown glass forming a gorgeous vase instead of the flower to be put into one! Have a grand day! Cathy
Calla Lillies are my favorite flower. I have so wanted to try growing them, especially a near-black variety I recently saw at the store. But I know my luck. They would die and I would be so sad. :-(
