I tend to get up just before sunrise anyway -- and Willa has me outside right away -- usually in my flannel nightgown with a jacket over it -- a real fashion statement.
I caught up with all your posts again. I liked the story about “her man” in the snow – the picture goes so well with the story. It reminded me about my husband’s aunt who lived in Florida. It was so warm one night, she could not sleep, so she went into the garage and into the car then turned it on and the AC too – it was cool then with the garage door closed – they found her the next morning….
That coq au vin looks delicious – I used to make it often – but tomorrow I’m cooking something I learned here – corned beef with cabbage. You have the prettiest flowers. Our azalea is in full bloom - has been for almost 2 weeks. Monday a week ago it was supposed to get to 31 – I was so afraid the blooms would turn brown and I did not know what to do. So I got 3 king size flannel sheets and enveloped the bush in them – all nice and comfy tucked with cloth pins – the blooms survived. It did look funny though covered with the sheets.
Well, after getting caught up in the DO, DO, DO instead of BE, BE, BE, I've caught up on your postings and how I've missed them! I even have a note taped to my desk - THINGS TO DO FOR ME EVERYDAY. "Read Vicki's Blog" is there. But, I've let Life and Work and Stuff crowd out the things I truly enjoy, but age and health issues being the great leveller, I have been sidelined with back surgery and still have several weeks of recouperating to do. YAY! I just want to kiss Clover between her little horns and sit on your blue bench.

Oh the delicate colours in that first image...may I pinch it for my Pinterest garden board?
Love the one with the bench!
We've had a few misty mornings, of late. I love the transformation they can bring about. A special kind of light.
Mental note to self: must get up earlier... early morning missed, usually.

Just beautiful!
Yes, of course, Jules!

I love the morning mist as well. Unless I have to drive. Then I curse it and call it fog.
LOL at the image of the flannel nightie and jacket.
Gorgeous- I am so ready for color again! Pretty yellow bell- mine is just now starting to think about blooming out.
