Aha! I have (I think) solved the problem of the disabled comments! Thanks to you who emailed to alert me to the problem. I'll hope to come blog visiting this evening -- but am off to the garden just now.

Hi Vicki, Lovely dropped petal photo. Your tulip was on my mind yesterday, along with the blooms I brought into my own space when I posted about the brevity of beauty. Or the brevity of some specific manifestations of beauty--makes spring all the more....
Many of the years I lived in the Arctic I rushed spring by buying and planting bulbs to bloom indoors--tulips were my favorites.
I sympathise with your Tulip. You should see what time has done with my hair!
